Abstract

Wen-Xiang-Yiof Chinese classical literature,i. e. the relationship among literal writing,image and meaning,was derived from Daoism'sYan-Xiang-Yi,i. e. the relationship among word,image and meaning represented from Laozi's Wu Yan( Speechlessness) to Zhuangzi's De Yi Wang Yan( Get the meaning,Forget the word),and eventually was theorized by Liuxie in the Wei-Jin periods. Chinese classical literatures fully demonstrate the mutual dependence relations among Wen,Xiangand Yi,and display not only a holistic writing and explaining approach of Chinese classical literature,but also a character of aesthetic experience of the syncretism between heaven and man.
