A Clinical Study on the Treatment of Female Non-gonococcal Urethritis with the Combination of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Western Medicine

Objective:To observe clinical effectiveness of female non-gonococcal urethritis(NGU)treatment with the combination of traditional Chinese medicine and western medicine.Method:Divide90cases of NGN patients into two groups at a random sample.60patients in the treated group were treated with medical herbs for oral administration and external washing,going together with ofloxacin intravenation while30patients in the control group were only treated with western medicine.The two groups were given a seven-day course of physiotherapy.Result:After two courses of physiotherapy,in the treated group49patients were cured,8patients were effective,3patients were ineffective and the total effective rate was95%while in the control group3patients were cured,17patients were effective,10patients were ineffective,and the total effective rate was67%.The comparison between the total effective rate of the two groups shows the effectiveness of the treated group is higher than that of the control group,and the difference has a significance(P0.05).Conclusion:The treatment of NGU with the combination of traditional Chinese medicine and western medicine can remarkably raise the effectiveness,lower drug tolerance and decrease recidivism.
