Abstract

Objective To explore the clinical value of ultrasound diagnosis in gastric cancer. Methods A retrospective analysis was used in the 40 cases of gastric cancer diagnosed by pathology, examined by ultrasound and gastrointestinal barium examination.Result A total of 95%(by x-ray barium) and 98%(by ultrasound) subjects had consistent results with those by pathological test without any significant difference.Stomach ultrasound diagnosis is the gradually maturity technology which could measure the depth and extent of local lesions for stomach. Conclusion The diagnosis rate of ultrasonography is close to the barium in gastric cancer.Stomach ultrasound could be the acceptable for patients, which can provide more diagnostic information.Combination of ultrasound and x-ray barium could be helpful for improvement of diagnosis rate in gastric cancer.
