Abstract

Objective:To study the effect of edaravone injection on cerebral infarction.Method: Seventy patients with cerebral infarction were randomly divided into control group and edaravone group.35 patients are in each group.Patients in control group were given conventional treatment and in edaravone group edaravone injection was used for 14 days in addition to conventional treatment.Neurological deficit scores and clinical efficacy before and after the treatment are observed. The rate of effectiveness and rate of efficiency was calculated.Liver and kidney function was monitored during the treatment. Results: The rate of effectiveness and rate of efficiency were 48.6% and 77.1% respectively in edaravone group and 28.6% and 62.8% respectively in control group.Neurological deficit score in edaravone group was significantly lower than that in control group(P 0.05).Conclusions: Edaravone injection can reduce the neurological deficit score in patients with cerebral infarction.
