The timber-framed style and column constructing of Huizhou vernacular dwellings

Abstract

The Huizhou vernacular dwellings are of great historical,artistic and scientific value.Based on historical materials and the examples of the existing Huizhou vernacular dwellings,the timber-framed style and column constructing are analyzed.It shows that the Huizhou vernacular dwellings possess obvious regional characteristics.It may provide theorectical basef for preserving and utilizing the Huizhou vernacular dwellings.
