Abstract
Objective To detect the relationship between the expression of p16 protein, proliferating nuclear antigen and clinicopathologic feature of human gastric carcinoma. Methods Using SP immunohistochemical methods, the positive rates of p16 protein and PCNA were detected in 52 specimens of gastric carcinoma. Results The positive rates of p16 protein and PCNA were 44.2%,71.2%,respectively.The positive rates of p16 protein decreased with the progression of the pathological grade and invasion, while the positive rates of PCNA increased( P 0.05).The expressions of p16 protein,PCNA were pertinent to prognosis of patients. Conclusion The detection of p16 protein,PCNA could be used to evaluate the malignant degree and predict metastasis and prognosis of gastric carcinoma.
