Abstract

【Objectives】 To study the expression of MTA1,MMP-2 and MMP-7 in cervical carcinoma and normal cervix, and to investigate the relationship between their expressions and clinical pathological feature.【Methods】 Using RT-PCR to detect the expression of MTA1,MMP-2 and MMP-7 in 50 case cervical squamous cell carcinoma and 10 case normal cervix.【Results】 The expression mRNA level of MTA1,MMP-2 and MMP-7 in cancer tissue were higher than those of normal tissues(P 0.05).While the expression level of MTA1 and MMP-7 mRNA was significantly related to the lymphnode metastasis(P 0.05),the expressions of MTA1 in the cervical carcinoma were positively related to the expression of MMP-2,MMP-7(r =0.367,0.564;P 0.01,respectively).【Conclusion】 The over-expression of MTA1,MMP-2 and MMP-7 gene could have important roles in the cervical cancer.Their synergistic effect could promote carcinogenesis and development of cervical cancer. The MMP-2,MMP-7 and MTA1 gene may be the main factor of progression and metastasis in cervical carcinoma.
