Clinical study on electroacupuncture combining with dietary intervention in the treatment of diabetic gastroparesis

Abstract

Objective:To discuss the effects on electroacupuncture combined with dietary intervention in the treatment of diabetic gastroparesis.Methods: 60 patients with definite diagnosis of diabetic gastroparesis were divided into treatment group(30 cases) and control group(30 cases) randomly.Based on dietary intervention,treatment group was given acupuncture combining with low frequency electrical pulse.Control group was given gastro-kinetic agent,Domperidone,10 mg one time,three times a day before food at 30 min.Results: Total effective rate in the treatment group and the control group was 96.7% and 86.7% respectively.Significant difference was found between two groups(P0.01).Conclusion: The efficacy of electroacupuncture combined with dietary intervention is superior to western medicine in the treatment of diabetic gastroparesis.
