Abstract

Objective To explore the effects of Royal Jelly on immunologic function of low immune mice caused by CTX.Methods The immunity-deficiency model was induced.Royaljelly(RJ) was continually intragastrically administered for 7 days with different dose, the macrophage phagocytic function, the thymus and spleen index, the delayed-type hypersensitive response and the serum hemolysin level were used as evaluated indexes to study the effects of RJ on immunologic function of low immune mice caused by CTX.Results 3.06 g·kg-1,6.12 g·kg-1RJ could significantly potentiate the macrophage phagocytic function, protect the index of thymus and spleen, enforce the delayed-type hypersensitive response, and improve the serum hemolysin level of mice. Conclusion RJ can strengthen the immunologic function of low immune mice caused by CTX.
