Abstract
Objective To establish the method for determining the content of caffeic acid in Folium syringae. Methods Determination of caffeic acid in Folium syringae by RP-HPLC,the chromatographic conditions were DiamonsilTM C18(150 mm×4.6 mm,5 μm)analytical column, mobile phase:methanol-0.1%phosphoric acid solution(15∶85),detection wavelength:323 nm,volume flow:1.0 ml/min,column temperature:25℃.Results A good liner range of caffeic acid was 0.037 8-0.226 8 μg(r=0.999 6),the average recovery was 98.4% and RSD was 2.2%(n=5);the caffeic acid contents of 3 batch samples were 0.010 47,0.011 03,0.010 88 mg/g,RSD were 2.0%,2.2%,1.6%.Conclusion This method with high precision and good resolution can be used for the quality control of Folium syringae.
