Abstract
OBJECTIVE To explore the clinical characteristics and surgery efficacy of V-exotropia.METHODS A total of 48 patients with V-exotropia were surgery treated, and the changes of eye position before surgery, and single eye visual function were observed.RESULTS The common reasons of V-exotropia were abnormal oblique muscle, oblique muscle hyperthyroidism, and oblique muscle hyperthyroidism due to congenital superior oblique palsy.Except for two cases showed owe the parnassus, all the other patients showed satisfactory effect.CONCLUSION The V-exotropia is a common type of strabismus, and the main reason is abnormal oblique muscle, and combined with horizontal strabismus.Orthopia is the main treatment for V-exotropia.
