Research on the Relation of Food Security and Cultivated Land's Quantity and Quality in China

This paper analyzes the demand of food in the next 30 years, the trend of non-agricultural utilization of cultivated land, actuality of cultivated land quality, portent of productivity of cultivated land in China and the quantity of food export in world market. It suggests that the decreasing trend of cultivated land can't be prevented in future, the food security can't only depend on maintain the existing quantity of cultivated land or import of food. So the right way to ensure food security in the next 30 years is improving the quality and productivity of cultivated land.
