Abstract
Objective To investigate the analgesic effects of water extraction of Japanese Pollia. Methods The analgesic effect was observed on mice undergoing writhing test and hot-plate test and being given different doses( 0. 4 and 0. 8 ml /10 g) of the water extraction of Japanese Pollia via the gastric perfusion. Results It's showed that the mice's licking latency was significantly prolonged( P 0. 01),the maximum of analgesic ratio was 66. 42 % in hot-plate test; mice's writhing latency was remarkably prolonged( P 0. 05),writhing responses decreased markedly( P 0. 01),the maximum of inhibitory ratio was 39. 84%. Conclusion Japanese Pollia has an obvious analgesic effect.
