N-terminal B-type natriuretic peptide testing in diagnosis of elderly with heart failure

Objective To investigate the clinical value of serum N-terminal pro-B-type natriuretic peptide in the di agnosis of elderly patients with heart failure detection.Methods One hundred and twenty elderly patients with chronic heart failure were considered as the observation group,and the same period,120 healthy elderly in our hospital were considered as the control group,the two groups were treated with a multi-functional immune detector serum in B-type natriuretic peptide and NT-proBNP testing,and the data was compared between the two groups.Results B-type natriuretic peptide and NT-proBNP of the observation group were higher than that of the control group,and there was sta tistically significant difference between the two groups(P 0.05).Conclusion The B-type natriuretic peptide and NT-proBNP levels have important implications in diagnosis of elderly patients with chronic heart failure,while the serum level of expression of NT-proBNP is more sensitive than the B-type natriuretic peptide.
