Abstract
in the Yuan dynasty experienced fall and rise in which imperial examination system plays an important role. Meanwhile, there were conflicts between traditional poetry and traditional operas which maintained poetic dramas as the main body. following the Song Poetry and respecting the Tang Poetry indicated different tendencies at different periods in poetry writing. So MenKui holds the wrong idea that there's no fall and rise in the development of the Yuan dynasty.
