Abstract
The Song Poetry was another climax after the Tang Poetry in the history of the Chinese poetry. Under the specific ideological and cultural conditions of the Song Dynasty, The Song poetry developed on the basis of the fine tradition of the Tang Poetry, showing innovation in ideological contents and artistic expressions, different from the Tang poetry in esthetic concept. As a result, many excellent poets came out to form many schools of poetry. Viewed from the trend of its development and its achievements, poetry of the Song Dynasty developed in 6 stages.
