Abstract

The result of determination on 55 clones of Cunninghamia lanceolata shows there are significant differences among different clones in tree height,DBH and volume. The range of heritability is 0.389~0.771 in height,0.169~0.703 in DBH,and 0.377~0.674 in volume. In the three growth traits, the volume differentiation is the biggest, and the height differentiation is the lowest. The tree height,DBH and volume are selected respectively according to the selected percentage of 10%.The average genetic gain of tree height is 4.27%,the average genetic gain of DBH 6.36%,and the average genetic gain of volume 6.36%.Compared with the average control values, the average genetic gain of tree height is 8.09%,the average genetic gain of DBH 13.11%,and the average genetic gain of volume 23.17%.This selection method can get the excellent clones of C.lanceolata with high genetic gain.
