On Zaize's Reservation and Application of Constitutionalism

Zaize was an important member of nobles of the Manchu ethnic group.In the constitutional movement in the Late Qing Dynasty,he was assigned to go abroad to inspect constitutionalism.He advised Cixi to carry on constitutional monarchy early to save the Qing Dynasty.In the period of Xuantong,he changed his attitude and began to oppose the formulation of a constitution.The change of his attitude before and after constitutionalism in fact reflected the inner crisis of the nobles.Finally,the young and middle-aged nobles were forced to give up.
