Abstract

A stage diversion scheme is selected with flood discharged through diversion channel at the left bank in Longkaikou Hydropower Station.In Stage I,the diversion channel is constructed with the flood discharged through contracted river channel.In Stage II,the dam and right-bank powerhouse are constructed with the flood discharged through diversion channel.In Stage III,the dam gap above diversion bottom outlet in dam's diversion channel section and other unfinished dam section are constructed while the flood is blocked by completed dam section and discharged by diversion bottom outlet.The joint application of bottom outlet and dam gap diversion in Stage III accelerates the construction progress of dam's diversion channel section,shortens the construction period before the commissioning of first hydro-generator and obtains good economic benefits.
