On the Strategy of Broadening Direct Investment Abroad by China After Joining WTO

Along with China joining WTO and China's continuous program of opening to the outside world, enlarging the direct investment abroad by Chinas enterprises has become an important and urgent matter. There exist both necessity and feasibility for China's enterprises to enlarge their investment abroad. For pushing China's enterprises to make direct investments abroad, we have to adopt the corresponding strategy of strenuously cultivating multilevel investing units, persisting in the four combinations of combining the direct investment abroad of China's enterprises with enlarging foreign trade, with the strategic adjustment of China's economic structure, with the demand of foreign markets, and with the investing ability and the advantage of China's enterprises. In addition, we have to formulate strategic plans of development, create excellent investing environment, and develop processing industry in foreign countries. 
