Abstract
Objective To study the MR imaging features of central neurocytoma. Methods MRI findings of 15 cases confirmed pathologically were analyzed retrospectively. Results All tumors were located in the anterior of the lateral ventricle close to the Monro’s foramen. The tumor showed inhomogeneous signal with equal signal on T 1 WI, equal or slightly higher signal on T 2 WI and high signal on diffusion weighted imaging. And the tumor showed mild or marked inhomogeneous enhancement. Conclusion Central neurocytoma MR imaging characteristics have specificity, which is valuable in the preoperative diagnosis.
