Abstract
Objective:To explore the imaging features of the central neurocytoma and improve the understanding and diagnosis for it.Methods:Eight cases with central neurocytoma proved by pathology were retrospectively analyzed.8 cases were examined with MRI and 4 cases of them were examined with CT.Results:All lesions were located at the septum pellucidum between the lateral ventricles or the third ventricle near the foramen of Monro, irregular in shape but with clear boundary. On plain CT scan, the tumors were slightly hyperdense. The density of lesions was inhomogeneous. The MRI findings showed the tumors as slightly long T_1WI,and long T_2WI.The tumors usually slowed mild enhancement. Conclusion:The central neurocytoma has characteristic imaging features.CT and MRI,especially MRI,are valuable in the diagnosis.
