Abstract

The heat treatment and microstructure of a new high strength cast Al alloy were studied. The results show that the best heat treatment process of the alloy is solution treatment and aging process at 550℃ for 10 hours or at 150℃ for 12 hours, then the new Al alloy is able to separate out a great deal of strip phase θ″and bit of flake phase θ',the microstructure makes the Al alloys have a better intension and toughness:σb=479MPa,δ5=5%.
