Investigation and analysis on requirements of nursing students training before practice

Objective:To find out nursing students' training requirements before their practice and provide a scientific and standardized training for them.Methods:A survey and analysis was conducted on 120 undergraduate nursing students who were to practice by using self-questionnaire.Results:These nursing students think that it was necessary for them to be trained before their practice and the period of training is appropriate from 2-3 weeks,and the training contents required include operating skills,occupational etiquette,guarding against nursing mistakes and accidents,knowledges of law and regulations related to medical care,occupational safety protection,hospital general situation,the written norms of health care documents,and interpersonal communication,et al.Different training methods were required for different training contents.Conclusion:Training programs should be set down according to the training needs of nursing students,which could make the training targeted for the nursing students,bring the students' initiative into play,improve the effectiveness of training,and lay a solid foundation for nursing students before their entering the clinical practice.
