Abstract
Rat preadipocytes isolated from epididymal and perirenal adipose tissu of 20-day-old male SD rats by collagenase treatment were cultured in media with 5-25 mmol/L glucose, respectively.Effects of glucose on proliferation and differentiation of preadipocytes were analyzed by MTT and Oil Red O staining, respectively. The results showed that both proliferation and differentiation of rat preadipocytes were significantly stimulated by high concentration of glucose(P0.05)and this stimulation of glucose for proliferation and for differentiation was strongest at 15 mmol/L and 20 mmol/L,respectively,in range of 25 mmol/L.
