Abstract

Objective:To observe the efficacy of combined traditional Chinese and western medicine in the treatment of pediatric nephrotic syndrome.Method:A total of 72 cases with pediatric nephrotic syndrome diagnosed in our hospital from January 2012 to June 2013 were selected as study objects, and they were divided into the treatment group and the control group by the random table. The treatment group received the combination treatment of traditional Chinese and western medicine, and the control group received the conventional western medicine only which was based on the usage of prednisone. After 6 weeks of the treatment, the differences of the effective rate and laboratory indexes between two groups were compared.Result:After 6 weeks of the treatment, plasma albumin, urine protein in 24 hours, serum creatinine and urea nitrogen of two groups were compared, the differences were statistically significant(P0.05), and the complete remission, ineffective rate and total effective rate of two groups were compared, the differences were statistically significant(P0.05).Conclusion:The combined traditional Chinese and western medicine treatment is an effective therapy in the treatment of pediatric nephrotic syndrome.
