Abstract
The compiling of The Ming History in the reign of Shunzhi and the early reign of Kangxi took along time and achieved so little. Out of its political purpose that is shortly sighted, the Qing government had to compile The Ming History, but it didn't do its best. In recent years, some scholars have put forward the opinion that The Ming History was finished in the reign of Shunzhi, which needs a further discussion.
