Logistic regression analysis of current situation and influencing factors of Internet addiction among college students

[Objective]To understand the current situation and influencing factors of Internet addiction among college students.[Methods]Young 's Internet addiction diagnostic scale and self-designed questionnaire was adopted to investigate Internet addiction of students of 4 kinds major in a university with stratified random sampling. Univariate and multivariate logistic regression analysis was performed on influencing factors of Internet addiction. [Results]The university students' Internet addiction rate was 18.23%,which was different among different majors. Of 18 factors investigated,major,family sources,learning achievement,the first time online,daily online time,and other 7 factors influenced college students' Internet addiction.[Conclusion]Internet addiction is more common among college students. And there are many influencing factors,which suggest that targeted intervention on Internet addiction of college students should be done.
