Clinical observation of trimetazidine in treating angina pectoris

Objective Observation curative effect of trimetazidine(TMZ) in treating coronary heart disease with Angina Pectoris. Methods Sixty-four cases of coronary heart disease with angina pectoris were randomly assigned to the study group(33 cases)and the contrast group(31 cases). They were well matched for age,sex,anginal types,complications and cardiac functional grading. Among the study group 33 cases,TMZ were given to each 20 mg for 3 time every day orally; The contrast group weren't given each TMZ orally. The two groups otherwise treatment principle including drug and program were same. Observe and compare the frequency of angina pectoris;attack time and continuative time of angina pectoris;the daily consumption of nitroglycerin, improvement ΣST, NST, STmax and NT of electrocardiogram, between the study group and the contrast group.4 weeks as a therapy course in both 2 groups. Results Both the study group and the contrast group could not only reduce significantly the frequency of angina pectoris and the daily consumption of nitroglycerin,they also could result in remarkable improvement of NST,ΣST,STmax and NT. In treatment group, the total effective rate and electrocardiogram improvement rate were 90.6% and 71.9% respectively, it were higher than those in contrast group (54.8% and 32.3% respectively, all P0.05). Moreover, the decrease in attack time and continuative time of angina pectoris, reduction of nitroglycerin doses, improvment of myocardial ischemia degree, were superior in treatment group to those in contrast group (P0.05 or P0.01).Conclusion It is definite that curative effect of trimetazidine treating CHD with angina pectoris,It may further increase curative effect that Add trimetazidine treating ,when common dyugs treat coronary heart disease with angina pectoris.
