Abstract
Objective: To compare the efficacy and safety of risperidone and haloperidol in treating Tourette syndrome(TS).Method: A total of 152 patients with Tourette Syndrome were randomly divided into two groups treatment with haloperidol and risperidone. The efficacy was measured by the Yale globaltic severity scale.Result: Riperidone is more effective and has less side effects than haloperidol in the treatment of TS,significant difference was found between the two groups(P0.05).Conclusion: The results suggest that riperidone is more effective and has less side effects than haloperidol in the treatment of TS.
