Abstract
This article explains the classifies and understanding of metaphor in the light of cognitions.It points out that metaphor is not only a rhetoric phenomenon,but also a cognition phenomenon.We can understand it in the light of cognition context,also can research it from all kinds of cognitive factors,such as knowledge structure of mankind,cultural background,physical geography and so on.
