Abstract
Taking thick coal seam mining with special geological condition of Huafeng coal mine as the research object, the mechanical simulation experiment of abutment pressure development and overlying strata movement laws during mining process were carried out by using mechanical simulation testing bench of mining pressure. The experimental results showed that abutment pressure had significant change with coal seam mining, and the pressure in plastic zone rised gradually while in elastic zone decreased monotonically;overlying strata formed composite structure and moved regularly, and bed separation had a characteristics of dynamic change;the maximum subsidence increased with the working face mining and maximum subsidence point gradually developed to the mining direction.
