Ciclopirox Olamine Ointment in Treatment of Superficial Cutaneous Mycosis

Abstract
Objective:To evaluate the efficacy and safety of cielopirox olamine ointment in the treatment of superficial cutaneous mycosis. Methods:130 patients with superfcial cutaneous mycosis were divided into two groups. The study group was treated with ciclopirox olamiue ointment and the control group was treated with terbinafine cream for external use. The course of treatment was 2 weeks in patients with tinea corporis and tinea cruris, 4 weeks in patients with tinea manus and tinea pedis. Results:42 of 66 patients in study group were cured, 18 were improved, and the efficacy rate was 90.91%, was 89.39%. The efficacy rate in control group was 92.19%, fungi removed rate was 90.36%. There was no significantly statistical difference between the two groups (P0.05). Conclusion:Ciclopirox olammine ointment is effective and safe drug in the treatment of superfical mycosis.[
