Abstract
Objective To explore the clinical effects of trans-scleral suture fixation in foldable intraocular lens implantation in eyes without complete posterior lens capsule supports. Methods 16 cases(17 eyes) were treated with transscleral ciliary sulcus fixation of foldable intraocular lenses. The operative methods, surgical results and complications were analyzed. Results Followed up from 6 to 30 months,no serious intra-operative complications occurred, and the best corrected visual acuity was improved.Intraocular lenses were dislocated in 2 cases. Conclusion Ciliary sulcus fixation of the foldable intraocular lenses is a safe and effective method in eyes without complete posterior lens capsule supports.
