Abstract
Objective To study the expressions of CD138 and p53 in breast cancer and to explore the correlations between CD138 expression and metastasis,p53 and clinical significances.Method The 112 patients with breast cancer and the 36 with breast benign hyperplasia were selected for analyzing the expression of CD 138 and p53 by SP method of immunohistochemistry. Results The expression of CD138 in breast cancer obvious decreased, the position of CD138 was 42.0% (47/112).There was a statistical significance in expression of CD 138 between breast cancer and breast benign hyperplasia (P<0.01).Also,there was a statistical significance in expression of CD138 between the groups with or without lymph node metastasis (P<0.01).The expression of p53 in breast cancer increased remarkably, the position of p53 was 45.5%(51/112).There was a inverse correlativity between the expression increasing of p53 and decreasing of CD138 in breast cancer (r=-0.23,P<0.05).Conclusion There is a high correlativity between the expression of CD138 and lymph node matastasis and there is a inverse correlation between the expression of CD138 and p53 in breast cancer.
