Analysis of therapeutic value of hyperbaric oxygen on patients with diabetic foot

Abstract
Objective To explore the therapeutic value of hyperbaric oxygen on diabetic foot.Methods 58 diabetic foot patients,27 of them were given traditional therapy(control group),the other 31 were more treated by hyperbaric oxygen(HBO).The levels of hs-CRP,FIB and blood flow speed of the lower limbs between these two groups were compared pre-with post-treatment.The observation duration is 2 months.Results Before treatment,the difference of hs-CRP,FIB and blood flow speed of the lower limbs in patients of both groups were not significant(P0.05).Two months after treatment,above parameters in HBO group were significantly changed compared to those in control group(P0.01).Two months after treatment,the overall efficiency of HBO treatment was 83.87%(26/31),while the traditional therapy was 70.37%(19/27).The overall efficacy of HBO treatment was significantly higher than traditional therapy(P0.01).Conclusion HBO treatment is more advantageous than the traditional therapy and it is a safe and effective therapy.
