Application of Communicative Translation Theory to Chinese-English Translation of Public Signs

Nowadays public signs play a very important role in our daily life.However,the present situation of the Chinese-English(C-E)translation of pubic signs is far from satisfactory.Errors are prevalent in C-E translation,which would be bewilder target audience and result in barriers of communication.In order to solve the vexatious errors,the use of the theory of communicative translation method should be avoid public signs translation errors.
