Abstract

The effects of vineyard green cover with Clover(Trifolium repens),Perennial Ryegrass (Lolium perenne)and Alfalfa(Medicago sativa)on leaves photosynthetic characteristics of Cabernet Sauvignon were studied. The diurnal variation of net photosynthetic rate(Pn),stomatal conductance (Gs),transpiration rate(Tr)and intercellular CO_2 concentration(Ci)were determined in the day of grape berry expanding,at the same time, the soil water moisture and leaf relative water content were determined by comparing to the clean tillage. The result showed that soil moisture and leaves relative water content significantly decreased, leaves Pn,Gs and Tr also decreased compared with those of clean tillage. It can be concluded that green cover decreased the soil water content,it influenced the photosynthetic characteristics of grapevine leaves.
