Abstract

The experiment was conducted with the leaves of 1-year-old mulberry seedlings under four soil moisture treatments(with relative water content of 75%~80%,65%~70%,45%~50% and 25%~30%)to study the effect of drought stress on their photosynthetic characteristics. The results were as follows. The curve of diurnal variation of leaf net photosynthesis showed two peaks except for H3,their values were different;Chlorophyll content, the net photosynthetic rate, stomatal conductance, transpiration rate decreased under water stress, but intercellular CO2 concentration increased under the water condition of 25%~30%.The correlative analysis indicated that with the decrease of soil relative water content, the correlation among the photosynthetic parameters lowered.
