Clinical Analysis of 60 Cases of Modified Dacryocystorhinostomy

Abstract

Objective: To discuss operation methods and results of chronic dacryocystitis . Methods: Using modified dacryocystorhinostomy (DCR) for the treatment of 60 cases of chronic dacryocystitis (61eyes). Results: 60 patients (61 eyes) who were diagnosed with chronic dacryocystitis were treated with this technique. After the operation, symptoms like tears and pus overflows have been improved distinctively. The cure rate reaches 95. 08%, and effectiveness reaches 100%. Conclusion: modified dacryocystorhinostomy on the treatment of chronic dacryocy-stitis is safe and effective.
