Abstract

The study of Confucian classics in the Han Dynasty originated from Confucius' principle of accepting classics in the way of narration without one's own ideas expressed.Confucius' disciples have been sticking to this for generations.The expenses of bamboo slips and silk as paper and the cultural background against which Emperor Qin's burning books and burying Confucian scholars alive were the facilitative factor for the imitative origin in the study of Confucian classic in the Han Dynasty.
