Abstract

Objective: To study the effect of mental nursing intervention on preoperative anxiety and postoperative pain of patient with laparoscopic cholecystectomy. Methods: 84 cases of patients with laparoscopic cholecystectomy were randomly divided into mental nursing intervention group(61) and control group(23).Control group were given conventional nursing, while the intervention group were given conventional nursing plus mental nursing interference. In the intervention group,34 patients get little education up to middle school, and 27 patients got high school education or upwards. The Self-rating Anxiety Scale(SAS) was used to evaluate anxiety. The pain score of visual analog scale(VAS) was used to evaluate pain. The degrees of emotions, fear and satisfactory were evaluated. Results: Compared with control group, the level of anxiety, fear and pain score were significantly decreased in mental nursing intervention group(P0.05).Compared with patients with low culture degree, the anxiety score of patients with high school education or upwards was significantly lower(P0.05),and emotions score was significantly increased.VAS scores after laparoscopic surgery had no significant difference between two groups in the postoperative first and second day(P0.05),but became significant different in the postoperative third day(P0.05).The intervention group had a higher degree of satisfaction. Conclusion: The symptoms of anxiety and fear were obviously existed in patients with laparoscopic cholecystectomy. The mental nursing intervention could reduce the degree and duration of pain, increase satisfaction of patients with medical care, and effectively improve the quality and efficiency of clinical nursing.
