Abstract

Objective:To determine the relapse of the recombinant human interleukin-2 in the treatment of condyloma acuminatum(CA).Methods:One hundred and eight patients with CA were divided into control group(65 cases) and treatment group(43 cases). The warts in both treatment group and control group were removed by microwave, and then,5%imiquimod cream was applied on the lesions.Apart from these, recombinant human interleukin-2,0.2 million units every other day for 15 times, was injected intramuscularly for the patients in the treatment group. The relapse rates between the two groups were compared at month 6 after the treatment. Results:The number of relapsed patients was 2(3.08%) and 9 cases(20.93%),with a significant difference between the two groups(P0.01).Conclusion:Microwave combined with topical 5%imiquimod cream and intramuscular injection of recombinant human interleukin-2 can reduce recurrent rate of CA.
