Abstract
Rare earth Schiff base and phenanthroline ternary complexes REM(o-phen)2Cl·2H2O(M=La3+,Pr3+,Nd3+,Sm3+) was synthesized with coordinate reaction containing Schiff base, phenanthroline and rare earth ion. Those complexes were characterized with infrared spectroscopy(IR) and UV-visible spectroscopy. To investigate the antibacterial activities of those ternary complexes, all of them were applied to against Escherich coli,Staphy lococcusaureus,Candida albican. The results showed that all of the complexes have higher antibacterial ability for three bacteria, and the complex RESm(o-phen)2Cl·2H2O have the optimal antibacterial ability in these complexes.
