Abstract
Eleven solid complexes of the type [M(NO_3)L]NO_3(M = La,Nd,Sm,Eu,Gd,Tb,Dy,Ho,Er,Tm,Y;HL = C_13H_18N_2O_8,N-salicylidene-6-aminolysine) derived from Schiff base of salicylidenelysine acid were synthesized. These complexes were characterized by elemental analysis, conductivity measurement, thermal studies,IR and electronic spectra.Their coordination numbers were set to 6.The antibacterial experiments indicated that they have high antibacterial activities against escherichia coil, bacillus subtilis and staphylococcus aureus.
