Clinical application of new type antidepressant drugs in emotional disorders of childrenhood

Abstract

Objective To compare the clinical usage of new type antidepressant drugs-paroxetine,sertraline,escitalopram in emotional disorders of Childrenhood.Methods 60 cases of emotional disorders of childrenhood were treated with paroxetine,sertraline,escitalopram were included in the study.The clinical efficacy of each patient was assessed with the Clinical Global Impression(CGI) before treatment and at treatment of 2,4,6 weekend.The side effects were recorded by using Treatment Emergent Symptom Scale(TESS).Results The effective rate was 83.3% in the paroxetine group,the sertraline group was 88.9%,escitalopram effective rate was 91.7%.The total effective rate was 86.7%.The side effects of paroxetine group was 20%,the side effects of sertraline group was 22.2%,and the side effects of escitalopram was 25%.Conclusion The new type antidepressants drugs are safe and effective for emotional disorders of childrenhood.
