Study on mental health state of college students in Henan province

Objective To investigate and study the mental health stat e of college students in Henan.Methods 1?100 college students in Henan were investigate d with Symptom Check-List 90 (SCL-90). Results The subjects' mental health level were much high er than the national norm and the college students' summing-up sample.The studen ts' scores of all factors of SCL-90 had significant difference when their specia lity and their physical health level were different.The scores of every factors of SCL-90 in the senior students were much higher than in the junior students.Th ere were also significantly difference in one or two factors' scores of SCL-90 b etween male and female students or urban and rural students. Conclusion The mental health education must be enhanced f or college students in order to improve their psychological quality.
