Abstract

Objective: To study mental state of college students in Beijing Method: 5220 students were collected by stratified sampling in 23 colleges/universities in Beijing They completed SCL-90 Results:16 5% of them had at least one item with score over 3 There was no significant difference between male and female The difference between different grades was not obvious Students from rural area had higher scores than those from urban The result of our sample was better than that of other reports about mental health of college students But it was still worse than Chinese norm Conclusion: College students from rural area need more help to improve their mental health
