The 376 cases analysis of the amniotic cell culture and chromosome preparation

Objective: To summarize and analyze the methods for amniotic cell culture and chromosome preparation in our hospital,and to improve the success rate of prenatal diagnosis continuously.Method: Amniotic fluid cells were cultured from 376 gravidas with prenatal diagnosis indication,and carry on the chromosome preparation in our hospital from January 2009 to May 2012 in our hospital.Collect a seized specimen of each amniotic fluid sample.Results:The 374 cases achieved the success among the 376 and success rate reaches 99.5%.The research gets 11 successful cases through specimens culturing,and 8 from bloody amniotic fluid preparation.Abnormal karyotype was found in 16 cases,and the abnormal rate is 4.3%.Conclusion: Through the technique of the amniotic fluid cells and karyotype preparation,the prenatal diagnosis rate has improved a lot,and it deserves applying extends.
