Abstract

Featured by distinctive words,Xinli dialect is an important dialect in Qinzhou City of Guangxi.The dialect maintains many features of archaism and contains abundant monosyllable words and synonyms.Homographs are different in meanings from mandarin words.The dialect is rich in characteristic words that are similar to Pinghua dialect spoken in southern Guangxi or are shared in Cantonese and Pianghua dialect.
